Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Entry-Level Quality Control Technician to join our team in a fast‑paced PCB (Printed Circuit Board) contract manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are technically inclined, eager to learn, and committed to supporting high‑quality production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspection of printed circuit boards using microscopes, magnifiers, and AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) systems.
- Verify compliance with IPC standards, work instructions, drawings, and customer specifications.
- Inspect solder joints, component placement, polarity, labeling, and overall assembly quality.
- Document inspection results, non conformances, and rework requirements accurately and clearly.
- Assist in incoming inspection of raw materials, components, and PCBs as needed.
- Support final inspection and functional checks prior to shipment.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and QA teams to communicate defects and process issues.
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration requirements are met.
- Follow established procedures for handling ESD‑sensitive components and materials.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual defects.
- Basic understanding of electronics or mechanical inspection principles (training provided).
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, quality standards, and simple technical drawings.
- Comfortable working with microscopes and inspection tools.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to ask questions or raise concerns.
- Ability to work in a team‑oriented, quality‑driven environment.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with IPC‑A‑610 standards.
- Previous experience in electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or quality control.
- Basic understanding of through hole soldering, or SMT soldering processes.
- Experience with X‑ray inspection machines.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently sitting, walking, standing, and bending.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving machinery.
- Manual dexterity for handling small electronic components and tools.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour, based on experience.
